JOHANNESBURG - Transport Minister, Fikile Mbalula, is expected to address the taxi industry in Cape Town on Monday.
Associations Cata and Codeta have been embroiled in a deadly taxi war over routes.
Communities are living in fear after more than 20 people were killed last month.
It led to the deployment of police and the army to try to restore order.
Routes have also been closed to try and stem the violence.
At the same time, The provincial government has been trying to broker peace between the factions.
Communities are now hopeful the minister's intervention will yield results.
