Another Medupi unit goes live

PRETORIA - President Cyril Ramaphosa says the Medupi Power Station will be fully operational next year.

On Tuesday, Unit 2 went live.

Only one more unit needs to come online before the entire plant is running at full steam.

Ramaphosa, along with Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan and Mineral Resources and Energy Minister Gwede Mantashe, conducted a working visit to the power station in Lephalale, Limpopo on Tuesday morning.
