Meyiwa trial | Defence says murder ‘executed under directive’

JOHANNESBURG - The defence for accused one to four in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case has applied for charges against them dropped.

The application has been made to the National Director of Public Prosecutions.

Defence Lawyer Malesela Teffo says they recently found a statement of a leading investigator saying that the victim was murdered under contractual assassination.

The Bafana Bafana player was killed in 2014 at his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo's house in Vosloorus.
