Mihalik murder suspects to be sent to different prisons

CAPE TOWN - The suspected hitmen arrested for the murder of Pete Mihalik, will be sent to three different prisons for their safety as the matter is postponed again.

A third suspect came to the fore, and also faces murder and three other charges.

Vuyile Maliti from Kuilsriver is believed to have acted as the middleman who helped set up the hit on the defence lawyer.

Mihalik is well known for representing controversial underworld figures heavily embedded in the province's gang and drug rings.

There's a fear the suspects' lives would be in danger if kept in custody together.
