JOHANNESBURG - Government wants the SABC board and its executives to resolve the public broadcaster's retrenchment issues.
Communications Minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi met the board on Monday.
They have urged the SABC to go back to the negotiating table and look at all possible alternatives before resorting to retrenchments.
About 400 SABC employees face losing their jobs as the broadcaster battles to resolve its financial problems.
