JOHANNESBURG - Health Minister Zweli Mkhize has welcomed Nehawu's fact finding report on PPE and health worker shortages.
The union's report revealed the dire state of public healthcare and risky working conditions at some hospitals.
It's asked frontline workers to stay at home on 28 August to highlight their demands.
Mkhize has applauded the reporting of non-compliance and says his department needs to urgently respond to shortfalls.
He also thanked the men and women in the health sector for their efforts in curbing the spread of COVID-19.
