Mnangagwa in Russia amid fuel protests in Zimbabwe

JOHANNESBURG - Despite the backlash at home over the fuel price increase, Zimbabwe's President Emmerson Mnangagwa won't be around to witness the protests.

He's embarked on a two-week long visit to 5 different countries.

Both petrol and diesel prices have doubled, from R19 a litre to a whopping R45 a litre. 

The hikes came into effect just after midnight, following an announcement by Mnangagwa.
