JOHANNESBURG - Newly elected National Assembly speaker Thandi Modise is expecting a well-coordinated State of the Nation Address (Sona).
She adds that the overall budget for the event is expected to cost just under R2-million and that an assessment will be conducted next week.
"We are hoping that we will start and finish on time. We are hoping that the President will keep us reputed on his messages about the economy...about our welfare as South Africans and about the possible changes that we might see", Modise said.
South Africans will be glued to their television screens to hear what President Cyril Ramaphosa has to say at 7pm on Thursday.
The President has the tough task of making good on his promise to pull the economy out of troubled waters and create more jobs just after a few weeks following his inauguration.
