CAPE TOWN - Momentum Investment CEO Jeanette Marais says the insurer is working hand-in-hand with the family of a murdered man in order to reach an amicable agreement.
The company received backlash after it declined to settle a R2.4-million payout to the widow of Nathan Ganas.
He was gunned down in a hijacking last year.
Momentum claims Ganas failed to declare he had been diagnosed with high blood sugar levels.
Marais said clients usually get their premiums back in these instances.
