JOHANNESBURG - South Africa continues to shed jobs as the latest quarterly employment figures show that 28,000 jobs were lost between July and September.
Stats SA released employment statistics which is a measure of jobs lost and gained in the various sectors of the economy.
It is different from the unemployment rate.
Construction, manufacturing and government shed the most number of jobs in the period.
Those sectors lost between 11, 000 and 12, 000 jobs each.
Trade was the only positive contributor to jobs.
