JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Education Department says 99-percent of schools have opened without glitches.

Next week, more pupils will return to school, after a four-week precautionary break.

Gauteng Education head of department Edward Mosuwe says 78-percent of special education needs schools have also opened.
