JOHANNESBURG - Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will visit Monde primary school in Ekurhuleni to monitor the return of primary school pupils.
The visit will be done in terms of the risk-adjusted differentiated strategy.
Pupils from grade R to grade 7 returned to school on Monday.
The department says the return of pupils will enable teachers and pupils time to recover lost time.
That's after the school break was extended to combat the spread of covid-19.
At the same time, over 5-hundred thousand education sector employees have been vaccinated.
