Moyo's contempt of court case granted urgency

JOHANNESBURG - Peter Moyo's lawyer, Eric Mabuza, has welcomed the South Gauteng High Court declaring his client's application of contempt against the Old Mutual's board urgent on Monday.

Moyo sued the Old Mutual board for firing him unlawfully in June.

He wants the insurer to abide by last month's court order that he be reinstated.

The judge has ruled he can admit his second letter of termination as evidence in his contempt of court application.

Old Mutual will have to file affidavits in the next few days for another court hearing for the contempt of court application.
