JOHANNESBURG - Any discrimination against women when inoculating against COVID-19 should be dealt with now.
This is the concern from worker unions Nehawu and some of its affiliates on this International Women’s Day.
They held a virtual event celebrating women, talking about the issues they face around the world.
“We said as an organisation we will campaign for an establishment of gender-based violence forums in every workplace," said Nyameka Macanda, Nehawu's second deputy president.
"And we went further by calling for gender-based violence to be declared a national emergency within the country”.
Women are hoping all the talk, the hashtags and the marches will soon bring some change.
