JOHANNESBURG - Former Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene has used the state capture inquiry to hit back at his critics.

He denied claims stemming from his time at the Public Investment Corporation.

He stands accused of helping a company named Indiafrec win PIC funding.

Nene also responded to his political detractors in the EFF and fielded further questions on several meetings with the Guptas.

Nene also has advice for other witnesses.

“South Africa is very unforgiving. So, if you are prepared to pay the price that your fellow colleague has paid you can join in.”

On Friday, Mcebisi Jonas returns to the stand.

The Commission will also hear cross-examination of Jonas by the legal teams of Fana Hlongwane and Duduzane Zuma.
