The All Basotho Convention has agreed to form a new coalition with the opposition Democratic Congress.
While Thabane's no longer the Prime Minister he retains leadership of the ABC party.
He's been under pressure to step down since being named as a suspect in the murder of his ex-wife.
Thabane's ex-wife was shot and killed in 2017.
This was just two days before his swearing-in as Prime Minister.
