NPA appoints new prosecutor in Dbn 'bomb scare' case

JOHANNESBURG - The National Director of Public Prosecutions has appointed a new state prosecutor in the Durban 'bomb scare' matter.

The 12 suspects accused of attacking a mosque and planting explosive devices around Durban made a brief appearance at Verulam Magistrate's Court on Monday. 

They face charges of terrorism, kidnapping, and arson, as well as contravening the Explosives Act.

The suspects are also linked to a fatal knife attack at a mosque in Verulam, which claimed one life.
