JOHANNESBURG - The NICD said 1,662 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded.
Gauteng is still leading infections with 650 cases.
The Western Cape is second with 317 and KwaZulu-Natal recorded 216 new cases.
Sadly, eight more people have died but the death toll has increased by 19 due to the ongoing audit.
The total fatalities are 100,952 to date.
