JOHANNESBURG - A total of 7,238 new COVID-19 infections have been recorded.
Gauteng still leads with 2,428 cases followed by the Western Cape with 1,649 and KwaZulu-Natal with 1,094 new cases.
Limpopo recorded the lowest number, with just 73 new infections.
Sadly, 31 deaths have been recorded of which 12 occurred in the past 24 to 48 hours.
Over 29,000 tests were conducted representing a 24.8 percent positivity rate.
