CAPE TOWN - Stellenbosch University held a night vigil for murdered 19-year-old Uyinene Mrwetyana on Monday night.

The University of Cape Town student was murdered in the Claremont Post Office after she was lured there under false pretences.

A 42-year-old post office worker was arrested on Friday and faces charges of rape, murder and defeating the ends of justice.

Students could be heard singing struggles songs in memory of Uyinene, who was fondly known as Nene.
