File: Norma Gigaba appeared briefly before the Hatfield magistrate's court, facing charges of malicious damage to property and crimen injuria.
JOHANNESBURG - Former Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba's wife, Nomachule, has been released on bail.
Her attorney, Victor Nkwashu, confirmed her release on Saturday night.
"She was released on bail of R 5, 000 with condition that she should appear in court on Monday", said Nkwatshu.
Noma was arrested on Friday for alleged domestic violence, assault, malicious damage to property, and crimen injuria.
A video of a damaged car, believed to be her husband's, recently went viral on social media.
She is expected to appear in the Hatfield Magistrate court for a bail application on Monday.
