JOHANNESBURG - The North West is intensifying its COVID-19 fight, despite having one of the lowest numbers of infections.

Temporary structures are being built to reduce overcrowding in informal settlements and offices and factories will be inspected.

The province has 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 20 recoveries.

North West premier Job Mokgoro said although there are few cases, the measures will help prevent the virus from spreading.
