NPA concedes failure to respond to state capture

JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has acknowledged that the report into state capture found that it failed to respond adequately to state capture.

A joint statement released by the NPA and the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation reads that the NPA has created a task force to work together with the Zondo commission to bring those involved in state capture to book.

The NPA says its boosting efforts to increase its resources and capabilities in this regard.

The first part of the state capture report was released last week.

Two more reports are expected to be released.
