JOHANNESBURG - NSFAS says it's not accepting any late applications.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme is refuting reports that its cycle for late applications is open.
The scheme's Randall Carolissen said the idea that NSFAS accepts late applications is misleading but accepts walk-ins from TVET colleges.
Carolissen said the longer the admission process is, the more disturbances are introduced into the system.
He stated late applications also lengthens turn around time to finalise acceptance.
Carolissen said so far 400,000 new students have been named eligible and 200,000 existing students have qualified for the scheme.
