The 31-year-old is accused of being the mastermind behind the murder of Tshegofatso Pule and her unborn baby.
He's denied any part in it, and that he was the child's father.
Shoba has been implicated by the man who admitted to carrying out the murder, Muzikayise Malephane.
He was paid R70,000.
The state is expected to respond to Shoba's new bail application after he entered new evidence including that the person who carried out the killing was, in fact, Pule's boyfriend.
Pule's lifeless body was found hanging from a tree in Florida, Johannesburg in June last year.
