NUM, AMCU demand R1,000 wage increase

JOHANNESBURG - Members of the National Union of Mineworkers and the Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union are calling for wage increases.

The unions handed a memo to Sibanye-Stillwater management on Friday.

They're demanding a R1,000 wage increase each year for the next three years for surface and underground workers.

They're also demanding a 6 percent increase for artisans, miners and officials.
