JOHANNESBURG - SAA's troubles seem to be piling up fast.

Workers union, Numsa, has called for the SAA board to be scrapped, saying it's unfit to run the airline.

The unions want the airline to halt its restructuring plans.

Now, the airline is cancelling nearly all its flights on Friday and Saturday due to a massive strike threat.

The unions say they are not backing down until their demands are met.
