JOHANNESBURG - The officers accused of killing Collins Khosa have been placed on cautionary suspension pending an investigation.
According to the SANDF, Khosa refused to comply with lockdown regulations and as a result, he lost his life allegedly at the hands of law enforcement.
Khosa's family took the state to court for his murder.
In a ruling on Friday, Judge Hans Fabricius ordered that the soldiers and police who were present during the time of his death, be suspended.
He also ordered that within two days, that the order be given to all members of the SANDF and SAPS to adhere to the prohibition on torture and cruel punishment.
And that only minimum force be used to enforce the law.
