JOHANNESBURG - Over 8,000 new COVID-19 infections have been recorded in the past 24 hours in South Africa.
This brings the cumulative total to 930,711.
The health department said 796,346 people have recovered from the virus.
Another least 216 people have died of COVID-19.
The total death toll is 24,907.
