CAPE TOWN - Investigations are underway into the cause of Saturday night's deadly shooting at the New Somerset Hospital in Cape Town.
A police officer was escorting a patient at the hospital when another man grabbed his gun.
The man opened fire, killing two patients and wounding the policeman.
The officer passed away in hospital.

A matron at New Somerset Hospital is said to be responsible for calming down the gun-wielding patient.
The Western Cape Health Department has applauded the nurse.
It says the hospital staff will be receiving counselling.
