Prasa executives placed on special leave, suspension

JOHANNESBURG - The Passenger Rail Agency (Prasa) has placed some of its executives on special leave while suspending others.

They face allegations of improper, irregular, corrupt, fruitless and wasteful expenditure.

The officials placed on special leave are company secretary Lindikaya Zide, chief information officer Chris Mbatha, and CEO of corporate real estate solutions Tara Ngubane.

Meanwhile, the general manager of enterprise risk, Tumi Mohube has been placed on suspension.

Prasa says the four will be given an opportunity to respond to the allegations.

Last month, Sibusiso Sithole stepped down as acting CEO.
