Prasa trains are expected to resume operations on Wedneday after nearly three months of lockdown.
JOHANNESBURG - Prasa trains are expected to resume operations on Wednesday after nearly three months of lockdown.
The trains will be transporting people at a 15 percent capacity.
Prasa spokesperson Makhosini Mgitywa said people should consider other modes of transportation and not just trains.
Mgitywa emphasised that the trains would be operating in a limited capacity and would not be able to service customers who usually use taxis and busses to commute.
He said unprecedented levels of vandalism have affected Prasa's ability to deliver services effectively.
The spokesperson said Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula will announce on Tuesday which lines will be open.
