Violence in SA: Ramaphosa to meet with political parties

JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa will on Wednesday meet with political parties as part of his consultations with leaders in various sectors to develop a society-wide response to the crisis.

On Monday, government ministers met with business leaders and Tuesday the president chaired a National Security Council meeting.

On Tuesday night the president met with religious leaders.

They have asked to allow prayer meetings in an effort to restore calm and provide counselling.

Church gatherings are not permitted under adjusted level four lockdown regulations.
