JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to unveil the revamped and Cabinet approved Arrive Alive programme of the Department of Transport on Saturday.
The new programme will focus on improving road safety through a 365- day road safety agenda to transform road user behaviour.
It is estimated that road accidents cost the economy at least R166-billion a year.
Ramaphosa will also announce the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences Act that he signed into law earlier this year.
This will come under the spotlight as he launches the October Transport Month Campaign on the N3 Highway Southbound at the Heidleberg Weighbridge in Gauteng.
