JOHANNESBURG - Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says the nation will be informed soon on the future of e-tolls.
Mbalula was speaking on the sidelines of the festive road safety operations launch in Johannesburg.
He said a decision could be made public before Christmas.
"The matter is before Cabinet," he said.
He said once a decision has been finalised, the public will be informed.
In November, the minister said government is considering alternatives to dealing with Gauteng e-tolls.
Mbalula said e-tolls won't be implemented in terms of the current scheme.
