Queen mother of Royal Bafokeng dies

JOHANNESBURG - The Queen mother of the Royal Bafokeng, Semane Bonolo Molotlegi, has died.

She was married to the late Kgosi Edward Patrick Lebone Molotlegi.

Her second son, Leruo, is now king after her husband and older son died.

She is the paternal aunt of former Botswana president Ian Khama.

The Bafokeng are regarded as the richest tribe on the continent that uses the platinum profit to invest in diverse industries.

At this stage, the cause of death of the Queen mother of the Royal Bafokeng is not yet known.
