JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the keynote address at the opening plenary session of the inaugural Africa Investment Forum on Thursday.
The Africa Investment Forum, taking place in Sandton, is looking to structure deals and facilitate investments for the continent.
It is the inaugural Africa Investment Forum, which intends to attract funds to advance the continent's infrastructure.
Governments, the private sector and investors from across the globe have been brought together by the African Development Bank, to unlock investment opportunities.
The host, Gauteng Premier David Makhura, says Africa is the next biggest investment frontier.
“If you want to see that look at the Chinese, they are here all over Africa,” said Makhura.
“Look at the Europeans, they are all over Africa. Look at the Americans they are all over Africa. But we want Africans themselves to deploy the capital they have."
On Wednesday evening, Ramaphosa delivered the keynote address at the welcome dinner preceding the inaugural session.
