Ramaphosa begins investment drive in China

BEIJING - President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa must maximise on economic opportunities with China.

He addressed South African business people who are based in China on Sunday morning.

Ramaphosa called on captains of industry to learn from China’s information and communication technology sector.

The world’s second-largest economy is exporting more finished products to South Africa, while we export more commodities to them.

The president also wasted no time in bringing up the land question during the business breakfast.

He's promised to make sure land expropriation without compensation won't harm the economy. 

Ramaphosa will have a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jin Jinping.
