NORTH WEST - President Cyril Ramaphosa has downplayed criticism of Finance Minister Tito Mboweni's plan to revive the economy.

Speaking on the fringes of an ANC NEC meeting in the North West, the President urged people, who have issues with the proposed economic recovery plan, to come forward with ideas.

Meanwhile, Cosatu says Mboweni's economic strategy, doesn't address the country's problems.

Mboweni unexpectedly published a document to encourage economic growth on the Treasury's website.

The federation's Tony Ehrenreich has slammed the strategy document saying it's incoherent.

"The way this thing has been managed just shows that there is no leadership in treasurer and the government is allowing the treasurer to go, rogue, so that has to be addressed.”
