JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramapsoa has called for unity within the ANC.
The president says that divisions and internal squabbles take away from the party's service delivery mandate.
"When we are divided and we fight one another in public and are pre-occupied with ourselves, the people in our country don’t appreciate it," he said.
"Divisions and internal squabbles detract from our ability to advance the democratic revolution and serve the people of our country.
"If we are to truly to give effect to trust to the people of our country continue to bestow on us, we must continue with the unity that we displayed right at the onset of at the start of the pandemic," Ramaphosa said.
"As we continue we must implement programmes that meaningfully address our people’s most pressing challenges."
