Ramaphosa, Mkhize receive first COVID-19 vaccines

CAPE TOWN - President Cyril Ramaphosa and Health Minister Zweli Mkhize joined healthcare workers to receive the first of South Africa's COVID-19 vaccines on Wednesday.

Healthcare workers are the first in line to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Western Cape is administering its first Johnson & Johnson vaccines to healthcare workers at the Khayelitsha Day Hospital.

The vaccines were received on Tuesday.
