President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered the keynote address at the Human Rights Day commemoration at George Thabe Cricket Pitch, Sharpeville.
JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa today delivered the keynote address, marking 59 years since the Sharpeville Massacre.
On this day in 1960, 69 people were killed and hundreds more injured when police opened fire on protesters.
They had been burning their pass books at the Sharpeville Police Station.
The President says the people who sacrificed their lives will never be forgotten.
