JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa is visiting the family of murdered UCT student Uyinene Mrwetyana in East London on Friday.
University students Mrwetyana and Jesse Hess will both be laid to rest on Saturday.
The women, aged 19, were killed in separate incidents.
Violence against women has become more than a national crisis.
Ramaphosa addressed the nation on the scourge of gender-based violence on Thursday.
The president said he would ask parliament to consider making the sexual offences register public and stated an intention to overhaul the database of sexual offenders.
