Jason Rohde's bid to appeal conviction dismissed

Real Estate mogul Jason Rohde has been found guilty of murdering his wife. He's also been convicted on a count of obstructing the administration of justice. Rohde murdered his wife, Susan, at the plush Spier Wine Estate hotel in July 2016.

STELLENBOSCH - Murderer Jason Rohde's application for leave to appeal his conviction and sentence for the murder of his wife Susan, has been dismissed.

He was sentenced to an effective 20 years for killing his wife.

She was found dead at the Spier Wine Estate hotel in Stellenbosch in 2016.

The court says he staged her death as a suicide.

During the trial, it was found that Rodhe had an extramarital affair with an employee.
