Rubber bullets fly in Holpan, voting stops

JOHANNESBURG - Police opened fire on residents of Holpan, just outside Kimberly in the Northern Cape on Wednesday.

Chaos erupted when some residents in Holpan stopped other residents from going to vote.

Residents say nothing has changed for the past 25-years.

Police intervened and tried to disperse the crowd.

Voting has not started yet and there is a heavy police presence in the area.
