SA lockdown: Gyms want to increase capacity

CAPE TOWN - Gyms are safe places and not super-spreader venues.

That's the opinion of Fit SA after local and international research has shown gyms have hardly had COVID-19 cases.

Since fitness centres reopened in August last year, they've only been allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity.

The industry says government must urgently look at changing the regulations.
