JOHANNESBURG - Soshanguve High School in Tshwane has been burnt down.
This brings the number of break-ins and vandalism at Gauteng schools since the national lockdown began to 22.
The Gauteng Education Department says criminals are taking advantage of the lockdown by robbing and vandalising schools.
Out of the 22 schools, four in Tshwane were burnt down.
Equipment and school nutrition groceries were stolen.
The department is pleading with communities to report cases to law enforcement agencies.
