JOHANNESBURG - It’s Heritage Day -- a time to celebrate our culture, beliefs and traditions.
South Africans will no doubt be bringing out their customary attire on Monday.
Acting President David Mabuza will lead the official celebrations in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal.
The theme is the year of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela -- advancing transformation of South Africa’s heritage landscape.
Mabuza will unveil a statue of the leader of the Griqua people, Adam Kok the third.
The aim of this day is to embrace, understand and celebrate South Africa's diversity.
