JOHANNESBURG - There are just under 1,500 new COVID-19 cases.
Sadly, two people have died in the past 48 hours.

The cumulative number of deaths in South Africa now stands at almost 100,000 people.
Gauteng has the most new cases at present at 590, followed by the Western Cape with 410 and then KwaZulu-Natal with 294.
The positivity rate stands at 5.7 percent and 26,449 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.
