JOHANNESBURG - A total of 24,785 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in South Africa in the last 24 hours.
The NICD said 36 more people have died, taking the death toll to 90,262.
Gauteng still leads the surge with over 8,600 cases.
The positivity rate now stands at 34.9 percent.
More than 80,000 tests were conducted.
